What Is ECU Remapping?
From factory, a vehicle's ECU is set with a default ‘base map’, this is usually more than suitable for the ‘average’ driver. This ‘base map’ is designed to meet the needs of the broadest consumer base possible, suit many varying qualities of fuel from around the world, meet strict emissions and meet stringent environmental standards that have been implemented in areas of the world such as Europe and the United States.
