This week we've had a set of tier 2 Cummins QSK injectors in for a service, these injectors are fitted in QSK 19/38/50/60 MCRS engines which are commonly used in marine, earth-moving, power generation and mining applications.

For a long time, it was common knowledge in the Fuel Injection industry that only the OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) could service or re-manufacture these types of injectors. We often heard from our clients that having to send these components back to the OEM often led to either the cost of the injector service being far too high, or the turnaround time was far too long (often the injectors would have to be sent internationally). Downtime of equipment due to failure of the component or from the extended turnaround time of the OEM can lose a business thousands of dollars, so you can imagine that our clients we spoke with were eager to find a solution.
